Acrylic partial dentures are plates that will contain one or more false teeth. These plates can be easily be removed in a similar to the way to an orthodontic retainer. Clips will help hold the acrylic partial dentures in place whilst they are in your mouth. They are fabricated using a hard acrylic material that is a similar colour to the inside of your mouth.
Eating with acrylic partial dentures is more-or-less similar as eating with natural teeth. When receiving your new partial dentures, you may have to eat slowly to begin with until you become accustomed to the process. Over time it will become easier and you can start introducing more variety of foods into your diet.
Whilst it’s best to remove acrylic partial dentures when you sleep, under some circumstances and in some situations, you are able to sleep with your acrylic partial dentures. However, at Complete Denture Care we recommend that you do take them out whilst you sleep, allowing your jaw a chance to rest.
