Immediate Dentures
An immediate denture is a complete or partial denture that is fabricated before some or all remaining teeth need to be removed. The denture is then inserted on the same day by your dentist, immediately following the removal of natural teeth.
Note that an immediate denture will not always have the best fit instantaneously, simply because it is made before the socket and gums heal following an extraction. The healing process affects the fit, and therefore subsequent adjustment appointments with our prosthetist may be necessary.
Before getting immediate dentures, a thorough consultation with both your dentist and our prosthetist is required to explain the entire process.

Immediate Dentures FAQs
One of the main advantages of immediate dentures is that the wearer does not have to be without teeth after the removal of teeth and during the healing period.
Immediate dentures require more aftercare than other dentures, due to the extraction of your natural teeth. After your dentures have been fabricated and your natural teeth have been extracted, denture relines will be necessary. This is required to ensure your dentures remain well-fitting after your gums have experienced significant change that comes with any tooth extraction. This aftercare will be discussed with you during your consultation with our denture specialist, George.
At Complete Denture Care, we do not perform the extraction of your natural teeth. We work closely with your dentist or a local nearby dentist and maintain communication regarding the outcome of your immediate dentures.
